The sustainable state of our waters and the quality of our fishing grounds are the result of purposeful work and professional management. The Secretariat of Rada SRZ is the executive body that provides the professional, organisational and legislative base for Slovak fishing. The heart of our waters
This is the association's expert centre. Ichthyologists do not just sit in offices; they are out in the field monitoring the health of our fishing waters.
What they do: They set stocking plans so that the fishing waters stay in biological balance. They deal with water quality, monitor catches and make sure the fish on your hook is healthy and puts up a fight.
Why they matter: Without them our waters would be empty or ruined. They are the guarantee that fishing has a future.

Where life begins
Before we can fish, we must first breed. This department runs the network of SRZ production centres across Slovakia.
What they do: They cover the whole cycle – from spawning, through rearing the fry, to the stock that goes into your fishing waters. They coordinate the logistics so that the fish reach their new homes safely.
Why they matter: They are our "farmers", thanks to whom tonnes of new fish reach our waters every year.

Guards of the fishing waters
Protecting nature and following the rules are the basis of fair fishing. This department was set up to protect our shared assets from poaching and damage.
What they do: They run the professional fishing guard, coordinate inspections with the Slovak Police and provide methodological guidance to volunteer guards. They make sure the same rules apply to everyone by the water.
Why they matter: They protect what is dear to us from those who do not value it.

The backbone of the organisation, making sure everything runs in line with the law and the statutes.
What they do: They provide legal services for local and city organisations, draft the association's legislation and handle sporting activity. They also cover work with young people, because the future of fishing lies with children.
Why they matter: They create a sound legal framework and the conditions for organisations and sports clubs to operate.

Sound finances are the foundation of a strong association. The economic department makes sure that SRZ funds are transparent and properly used.
What they do: They run the central membership register, distribute permits and stamps and keep the full accounting records.
Why they matter: Thanks to them the association has the funds for stocking, water protection and its own development.

Building values
Slovenský rybársky zväz owns buildings, machinery and facilities that need looking after.
What they do: They look after the maintenance and modernisation of SRZ property, run investment projects and take care of the vehicles and machinery needed to manage the fishing waters.
Why they matter: They provide the technical base without which neither fish stock production nor management of the fishing waters would be possible.

A department that looks to the future and seeks ways to modernise the association.
What they do: They implement digital solutions and information systems and secure funding from EU funds and grant schemes for the development of fishing. They also shape the association's long-term strategy.
Why they matter: They bring innovations that make anglers' lives easier and help the association keep up with the times.

A section that builds bridges between the association and the public. It makes sure that information about SRZ activities reaches both members and the general public.
What they do: They manage the association's communication channels, prepare press releases, publish publications and handle media relations. They keep members informed about what is happening in the association.
Why they matter: Thanks to them the association has a strong voice outside and members always know what is going on.
